A very compact form of Acmena smithii that can easily be kept pruned under 1mt. Glossy fine green foliage, if kept regularly trimmed will not produce berries. Prefers full sun or part shade position for best results and becomes extremely hardy once established. Can be kept trimmed to the desired height and width. Regular trimming will produce more colorful new growth and keep the plant bushy. Will tolerate dry conditions once established and is reasonably frost tolerant. For best results fertilize with a slow release fertilizer in spring. An excellent native plant for 1 – 2m high hedging or screening. It can also be used for topiary shapes or standards. Its attractive lush looking foliage will blend well into most garden styles.
